Everything about Your Telecom Authority
We can’t change regulations, but we can help find what you need to know. This page provides all information related to the telecom authority.
What is a Telecom Authority?
Telecom is typically seen as an essential public service. Since telecom networks mostly are not run by governments anymore, they see the need to maintain a regulatory role to ensure services are supplied consistent with the public interest. For this purpose, a (typically independent) Telecom Authority is created.
Who is the Telecom Authority?
There are many telecom authorities and regulators, which one is applicable for you depends on the location of the phone number – regardless the location of the caller or called. E.g., the Dutch Telecom Authority (ACM) maintains regulations regarding a Dutch premium rate number. Below the Telecom Authority per country.
