Connection and Inspiration: Culture Day at MCXess
At MCXess, it’s not just about delivering high-quality intelligent call routing services but also about strengthening our core values: growth, creativity, collaboration, safety, and care for one another. On Thursday, November 21, we took these values to the next level during an inspiring and enjoyable cultural day at the NDSM Wharf in Amsterdam.
An Artistic Journey Through Creativity
The day began at 10:00 a.m. at the iconic NDSM Wharf, where we gathered in the music studio of one of our colleagues. From there, our cultural journey took off with a visit to the Straat Museum, a place that celebrates the history and artistry of graffiti and street art. During an engaging guided tour, we were immersed in the stories behind this unique art form—an inspiring example of how creativity can transform existing structures into something new and valuable.
A Workshop: Insights and Collaboration
After visiting the museum, we returned to the music studio for a culture workshop led by a corporate culture specialist. The goal? To get to know each other better and reflect on ways to further strengthen our collaboration. During the workshop, we explored each other’s strengths and activities, leading to valuable insights on how we can align even better as a team. This interactive session provided space for open and honest reflection, perfectly aligning with our core value of excelling in safety.
Connection: Learning From Each Other
One of the highlights of the day was a DJ course, hosted by our colleague and professional DJ. Not only did we gain insight into the technical aspects of live mixing, but we also received a lesson on the history of house music.
During the course, we had the opportunity to unleash our creativity and try something completely new.
The explanation about turntables and music mixing not only offered a chance to be creative but also allowed us to see each other shine outside the usual work context. Everyone participated with great enthusiasm, creating an energetic and positive atmosphere, along with a few hilarious moments.
It was inspiring to see each other in a different setting, perfectly aligning with our values of creativity and care for one another. Making music as a team, learning and demonstrating something unique and entirely different, brought a new dimension to our bond—especially as it required us to step out of our comfort zones.
A Culinary Finale
De dag werd afgesloten in stijl met een gezamenlijk diner bij restaurant IJver, gelegen in een prachtige hal van een oude scheepswerf op de NDSM-werf, in een ontspannen sfeer. Deze afsluiting onderstreepte aandacht voor elkaar en de waarde die we hechten aan samenkomen en het versterken in dat wat ons verbindt.
Look Back
The day ended in style with a group dinner at Restaurant IJver, located in a beautifully restored hall of an old shipyard at the NDSM Wharf, in a relaxed atmosphere. This finale highlighted our care for one another and the importance we place on coming together and strengthening what connects us.
